Last summer we already saw spy photos of the mule of the new Renault Trafic, and then the test units that were completely uncovered already showed some significant details that tipped the balance towards the side of a new generation, with the closing clips placed on the engine hood panel, a clear indication of a modified front end, reinforced with a slight increase in model length.

And so you can see a slightly longer hood, with a panel that is also new and rounder, which also means that there is more space in the front compartment to be able to add electrified units. But the aesthetic part will also include a more modern and finer headlight design, in line with the latest models of the French firm.

From behind, it lacks camouflage, but surely Renault will give a more special touch to this limited part as development progresses. Inside, a significant improvement is also expected in the design of the dashboard, completely changing the layout of the controls and betting on more functional and practical design, increasing the equipment and driving assistants.

The new generation of the Trafic will be seen in late 2021, although it will not be sold until 2022. The range of mechanics will focus on the 2.0 Blue dCi diesel engine with different powers and will be joined by a plug-in hybrid version with gasoline and the same technology as the new Captur E-Tech with 160 HP. The offer also includes a fully electric version for a new Trafic Z.E that will arrive in 2023.
